I was playing soccer on Sunday… There was this corner I was supposed to take. I lined up the ball, saw my team mates preparing receive the corner kick from me… then with confident i swing my leg to take the corner… in my mind, i saw the ball flying to the far post where TF was open, then… Bamp! I missed the kick, kicking my right foot onto the uneven ground. Seeing the ball rolling weakly into the pitch, I felt that my foot sent a signal to my brains… PAIN! ARGH!
As a season player with injuries, i limped my way to the side bench, looked for ice and quickly iced my foot. I saw the swell growing and i know it is more serious than i thought it was. In my mind, i tell myself… I AM SO DEAD! I got my wedding shoot on Tuesday. Looking at my foot, i felt that it has been dislocated and i quickly asked for help.
CK was very kind, he quickly changed out of his gear and send me to the doctor. We searched around the place for the nearest clinic and went for consultation. To my horror, the doc looks like a nerd, and he just looked at my leg and gave me painkillers. I have to request to have an x-ray taken then he helped me with the paper work. Worse doc i seen in my like. I’m not going back there ever again.
Monday. I went to SATA to take the x-ray confirming that my legs were not broken, then i decided to go to the usual chinese physician to consult. The physician told me that its still swollen and can’t do much treatment. They gave me a microwave heat scan that could help disperse the swell, and wrapped some medication and went home.
Tuesday. Still limping around, I went back for treatment again. Did the same micowave heat scan with additional tui na and wrapped medication.
Wednesday. It was a miracle, i could walk slightly faster and the pain was not so unbearable. Did the same treatment as Tuesday, but with acupuncture. It was fatal this time! After the tui na (already extremely pain), the doc suggested to suck out the clogged blood for faster recovery. Pain from acupuncture was still bearable, but when it came to the sucking out of blood, i almost fainted. The doc used the needles, poking a lot of holes on the clogged bruised part and used the “ba guan” to suck out the blood. Man it was painful!
It was a miracle, i could walk like normal after that with my foot feeling sore from the acupuncture. I doubt in normal cases, i could walked so quickly. Two weeks ago, Weeqi also got injured and after one week he was still limping badly.
Father God, I thank you for the speedy healing that i could walked (still limping abit) after 3 days of injury, for amazing chinese physician that helped in my recovery and most importantly for insurance policies that i could seek treatment knowing that i could be reimbursed for the fees incurred.
